This article will teach you how to use the Activity tab to effectively communicate with other members of the property management staff. The Activity tab is a collaboration tool for posting regular updates, conducting discussion, and notifying on activity such as document uploads or variance/compliance alerts. The Activity feed also appears on the home page under the Recent Activity section.
- From the Property & Facility menu, click Properties.
- From the Properties page, click the name of the applicable property.
- From the [Property Name] page, click the Activity tab.
- Click into the field that says Add your comment or message... and type your comment.
- Click the @ symbol below to select recipients and a Subject field will appear, as well as the recipient fields To and Cc to send to other property contacts.
- Click into the To field and select the applicable property contact(s) to send the message to.
- Click into the Cc field and select the applicable property contact(s) to copy on the message.
- Click into the Subject field and enter any information about the topic of the message.
- After you have completed the applicable fields, click the Post button on the right side of the screen.
- Your post will appear at the top of the feed on the Activity tab.
- To reply to a post, click Reply underneath the applicable post, type your comment into the field that appears that says Add your reply..., then click Post.
- To share a post with third-party contacts (contacts at the property who are outside of your company), click Share underneath the applicable post, then click OK in the confirmation box that pops up.
- Note: Click Unshare under a shared post to make it visible internally to contacts at your company only.
- To edit a post, click Edit underneath the applicable post, make changes as desired in the Subject and Message fields of the Edit Post window, and click Save.
- Note: You can edit only the posts that you create.
- To delete a post, click Delete underneath the applicable post, then click OK in the confirmation box that pops up.
